What do I need to get started?

This part is easy, just pop over to the contact page and drop me a line.

If you have any written material or web content that I can look at to help me understand what you're about, that's great. If not, no worries, let's get together and we can decide what you're about.   

Once I have an idea of the scope of the project, I'll email you an estimate based on the number of hours I think your project will take.  

I offer a completely hassle-free copywriting service, once I have your brief you can leave it to me. 

Do we need to meet?

I am happy to talk on the phone, via email or face-to-face over a nice cup of tea.

Whatever form of communication you prefer, simply provide me with an outline of what you need and I promise to deliver high quality, professional copy, fast.


How much do you charge?

My hourly rate is £50 p/h. Just let me know what you need (the more information the better) and I will send you an estimate based on the number of hours I think your copy will take.

Please note, if you are a new client I require a 50% deposit to begin.

How many amends can I make?

I include one set of amends in my fee as this is usually all most clients need. If you need more changes, these will be charged at my hourly rate. 


We also need expert web design/video/photography - can you help?

I collaborate with a range of top design, print and marketing agencies, as well as award-winning photographers and web filmmakers. If you need any of these services I'm very happy to put you in touch or I can liaise with them on your behalf.

I am very choosy about who I recommend though, so you can rest assured that you'll receive the best possible service.

How long will my copy take?

One of the reasons my clients come back to me time and again is my responsiveness.

I aim to provide your copy within five to seven days, although if you need a project turned around immediately,  I can offer a 24 hour service. Please keep in mind though, midnight oil is more expensive, so a 24 hour turnaround is charged at a higher rate.


Do you have any particular areas of expertise?

After ten years as a freelance copywriter, I’ve found that I can easily cover most companies’ content requirements. However, there are some sectors that I find myself working in time and time again. These include property, construction and interiors, parenting and pregnancy, customer and market research, weddings, bridal and wedding photography, hospitality, conferences and events, education (nurseries, pre-schools and primaries) and retail. I also write for IT and telecommunications, manufacturing, automotive, health and beauty, and travel sectors.

But what happens if I’m based really far away from you?

That’s no problem at all! My clients are based all over the world. It’s always nice to meet face-to-face, but I’m as happy to talk via Zoom, telephone or email as I am in person.

So don’t worry, working from a distance is never a barrier to getting good copy.
